This bubbly gin cocktail is perfect for spring and summertime. This fizzy drink will be a crowd-pleasing cocktail!

What You'll Need to Make a Kiwi Gin Cocktail

Kiwi gin cocktail ingredients

Key Ingredients:
  • Kiwi fruit: I used four fresh kiwi fruit for this recipe. I find that this amount of fruit is perfect.
  • Gin: I used Bombay Gin Sapphire for this recipe. It pairs very well with the kiwi fruit and other ingredients.
  • Simple syrup: I used store-bought simple syrup (with a lemon flavor) to add sweetness. You can always make your own. Please refer to the How to Make Simple Syrup section for specific instructions.
  • Carbonated mineral water: I used flavored carbonated mineral water. For ingredient substitutions, please refer to the Recipe Variations section.
  • Lime juice: We need a little bit of fresh lime juice for this cocktail.

Recipe Highlights

  • Tangy and bubbly
  • Handful of ingredients
  • Easy to make
  • Light and refreshing

How to Make

  1. Add peeled kiwi fruit, lime juice, and simple syrup to a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Add kiwi mixture, gin, and ice cubes to the cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for at least 5 seconds until the cocktail shaker gets frosted.
  3. Using a cocktail strainer, strain the drink into the glass. The kiwi mixture will be thick, so you might need to shake it a few times to pour out all the liquid.
  4. Top with carbonated mineral water and serve.

How to Make Simple Syrup

I used store-bought simple syrup, but you can always make your own. Mix equal parts of water, granulated sugar, and heat until thoroughly blended the mixture.

Remove from heat and let cool down before using for cocktails.

Store the remaining homemade simple syrup in a jar in the refrigerator for up to a month.

Recipe Variations

  • Instead of carbonated mineral water, use club soda instead.
  • Adjust the amount of simple syrup: Add more or less simple syrup based on your preference.
  • Instead of kiwi fruit use golden kiwi fruit. Golden kiwi is sweeter, so you might need to use less simple syrup.

Expert Tips and Tricks

  • In a lot of my other cocktail recipes, I use crushed ice. But for this recipe, please use ice cubes since the kiwi mixture will be very thick and hard to strain otherwise.
  • I used a cocktail strainer to pour this drink, but if you want less pulp, you can always use the fine mesh strainer to pour the cocktail.

This Kiwi Gin Cocktail is so refreshing! With a handful of ingredients and a few easy steps, you will have a fancy cocktail in no time!

Ingredients

  • 2 kiwi fruit, peeled
  • 1.5 oz gin
  • 1.5 oz simple syrup
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 4 oz carbonated mineral water

Instructions

  • Step 1

Add peeled kiwi fruit, lime juice, and simple syrup to a blender. Blend until smooth.

  • Step 2

Add kiwi mixture, gin, and ice cubes to the cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for at least 5 seconds.

  • Step 3

Using a cocktail strainer, strain the drink into the glass. The kiwi mixture will be thick, so you might need to shake it a few times to pour out all the liquid.

  • Step 4

Top with carbonated mineral water and serve.

Notes

  •  If you want less pulp or almost no pulp, use a mesh while pouring the kiwi mixture into the glass.

  •  Since the kiwi mixture will be very thick, use ice cubes instead of crushed ice. It will be challenging to strain the cocktail otherwise.
